Yes, it is possible to receive Social Security benefits while still working. However, if you have not reached full retirement age (which varies depending on your birth year), your benefits may be reduced if your earnings exceed certain limits. In 2021, if you are below full retirement age for the entire year, $1 of benefits will be deducted for every $2 you earn above $18,960. In the year you reach full retirement age, $1 will be deducted for every $3 you earn above $50,520, but only earnings before the month you reach full retirement age will be considered. Once you reach full retirement age, you can continue working and earn as much as you want without any reduction in benefits.
