To compare property values between different cities or states on Zillow, follow these steps:
- Go to the Zillow homepage at www.zillow.com and click on the "Buy" tab located in the top menu.
- Enter the name of the city or state you want to compare in the search bar and hit enter or click on the magnifying glass icon.
- On the search results page, you will see the map showing different listings in the area you searched for.
- On the left-hand side of the page, you'll find various filtering options. Scroll down until you see the "More" button, and click on it.
- A drop-down menu will appear with additional search filters. Look for the "Home Type" section and click on it.
- In the "Home Type" section, you can select the desired property types you want to compare. For example, if you're interested in comparing single-family homes, you can choose "House."
- After selecting the property type, you can go back up and modify other filters such as price range, number of bedrooms, etc., according to your preferences.
- Once you have set the desired filters, scroll down and click on the "Apply" button to update the search results based on your filters.
- Zillow will now show you the listings that match your criteria. You can browse through the listings and observe the property values in the area you selected.
- To compare property values in another city or state, simply repeat the same steps by entering a new location in the search bar and applying filters accordingly.
Please note that Zillow provides estimated property values, known as "Zestimates," which are not always 100% accurate and should be taken as a general reference point rather than an exact valuation.
