- Click on the "Products" tab located in the left-hand sidebar.
- On the Products page, click on the "Import" button.
- Here, you can choose to import products from different sources such as CSV files, another platform, or an app.
- If you have product data in a CSV file, select the "CSV file" option and click on "Choose File" to upload your CSV file. Make sure your CSV file complies with Shopify's formatting guidelines for importing products.
Note: If you are using a different file format, first convert it to CSV or use an app to import from other platforms.
- After selecting the file, click on the "Upload file" button.
- Review the fields in your CSV file that Shopify will use to import your products. Ensure that the information is mapped correctly.
- Scroll down to the "Inventory" section to set inventory settings for your products.
Based on your preference, you can select whether to track inventory or not, and manage inventory through Shopify.
You can also adjust the inventory quantities if needed.
- Scroll further down to the "Pricing" section and set the pricing details for your products.
Input the price of each product or use a formula to set the prices.
- In the "Images" section, select how to handle images for your products. You may choose to import images via URLs or include the image file paths in your CSV file.
- Once you have reviewed all the settings, click on the "Import products" button to start the import process.
- Shopify will process your product data and import your products. The time taken depends on the number of products and the complexity of the data.
- Once the import process is complete, you can review and edit your products on the Products page.
It is important to note that importing products may involve additional steps or considerations depending on the specifics of your data and requirements. Therefore, carefully review Shopify's documentation and guidelines for importing products for a more comprehensive understanding.
