Bitcoin was created by an anonymous person or group of people using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. The true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto remains unknown and has been a subject of much speculation.

Yes, that is correct. Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin whitepaper in 2008 and released the first version of the Bitcoin software in 2009. Since then, Nakamoto has not been publicly active and has remained anonymous. Various individuals have been suggested as the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, but none have been definitively proven.
